Following the announcement from the First and Deputy First Ministers this evening, Darkley PS will close from Friday 20th March. There will be no school on Friday for pupils as we bring forward a Staff Development Day planned for Tuesday 26th May and use it this Friday 20th.
A range of activities have been prepared for all our pupils. Teachers will finish organising these on Thursday and it can be collected at the school foyer on Friday at 9am until 12 noon. Folders will have their child's name on it. A range on online learning resources are being purchased and set up and will be allocated in the forthcoming days.
This is an unprecedented event and we can not foresee what is coming. It is very important that we all take stock and look after our families in the weeks and months ahead. The health and well-being of all our pupils, staff and families should be our priority.
Please look after yourselves and follow the important guidance from PHA at such a worrying time.
