Our visit to Daisy Hill Egg Packaging Plant

Primary 1 and Primary 2 want to say a big "Thank you" to Brian Clarke and all the staff for taking the time to show us around the plant.  We saw lots of different machines being operated and found out about the different stages involved from when the egg enters the plant until it leaves again ready to be sold on to wholesalers or local shops.  The children had constructed a list of questions to be answered and everyone got their answer apart from Maebh.  Maebh wanted to know how the egg gets it's shell.  We are going to have to read our information books on hens or use google to find out the answer!!
