Our Eco-Councillors have been busyπ³πͺ΄
Our Eco-Councillors got started today with Part 1 of their master plan to reinvent an underused part of our school playground. Pupils began the morning by planting lots of bare root willow with the aim of turning it into a willow den. They then added compost and bark before watering and moving onto placing their new mud kitchen into position which looks amazing!
Part 2 of their plan will see them plant over 10 trees in our school before adding lots of beautiful plants that will bloom in the weeks to come.
Part 3 will see them add some seating areas and shrubs so pupils can explore and relax.
Part 4 will see them add lots of bird houses and feeders so we can admire all the wonderful birds that visit our school.
The pupils had a wonderful morning knowing that their hard work will not only benefit the pupils of today but those in the future. Well done to all Eco- Councillors! ππ³π·πΉππΊπ³π
