Paddy Quinn from the Keady Fire station team came into school today and spoke to the P5 and P6 classes about fire safety. He caught lots of children out and made us think twice about how ready and aware we are of the dangers of fire in our homes.
He gave us safety packs to take home and gave us a list of checks to do for homework. We were told to remember to:
GET OUT
GET THE FIRE BRIGADE OUT
AND
STAY OUT!!!!
We were also told to remember that Monday is thumbs up day. So we have to check our smoke alarm is working every Monday.
We enjoyed our talk and learned lots of useful tips to keep us safe.
