Darkley Sports Day

Darkley held their annual sports day on Thursday 30th May. The weather was fantastic and the pupils thoroughly enjoyed themselves as the day was based on fun and taking part, rather than competing for medals and winning. There was as always a lot of support from parents throughout the day and everything ran smoothly. There were a lot of events such as the obstacle course, spud and spoon, relay, marathon, bike race, sack race, skipping race and of course the parents javelin event. All the pupils marvelled at their highly trained and extremely athletic parents who finished of a wonderful day of fun with a javelin challenge.
