On Thursday 28th September our school celebrated 90 years with a wonderful evening where our school remembered the many amazing memories and times of old. Large crowds gathered to take a trip down memory lane as we displayed hundreds of photos, displays and old registers. We transformed a classroom back to the 1930s by borrowing old inkwell desks from the Palace Stables. We hired actors to work as old school masters and our P7 pupils dressed in old clothing and acted as pupils would have back in those early days of our school. We had live traditional music and everyone had a wonderful time reminising over the many happy times in Darkley PS. It was a fantasitc evening and it was special to see so many past pupils return.
