Maths Week got off to a great start this week in P6/7 with a range of Numeracy activities outside in our new playground. The children worked in pairs on Monday to decide on and record activities related to Measure. On Tuesday morning the children carried out these activities including estimating and finding lengths, area, perimeter, volume, the circumference and diameter of circles, and a variety of time related activities.
The children also set themselves some interesting challenges including working out how many large cones would fit in the playground as well as the volume of the wheelie bin! What a wonderful start to Maths Week, outdoors!
