DARKLEY PS. HOST ALLIANZ CUMANN NA mBUNSCOL BLITZ

Darkley Primary School hosted a Gaelic Football blitz at their playing fields last Thursday. Local schools represented were Clea PS, St. Malachy's Ballymoyer. St Oliver's Carrickovaddy and Darkley PS.The sun shone brightly all morning and this allowed the boys and girls representing all the schools to give a great exhibition of all the skills in Gaelic football. 

This was a fantastic sporting event and the children must be commended for their efforts and commitment in every game.It was also the first blitz for Mr. Benny Tierney in his new role as Principal of St. Oliver's Carrickovaddy and staff representing each school wished him every success in his new appointment.

 Mr. Hart Principal of Darkley Primary School also conveyed many thanks to the committee of local club Phelim Bradys GFC, and Colm Nugent in particular,  for the efforts to prepare the pitch in advance of the competition.
