Green Day celebrations/ Presentation to Lourdes Committee
Our whole school got involved in celebrating St Patrick's Day. A wealth of talent was on display today. Under the direction of Mary and Iain from All-set who had worked with P3-7 during our aftereschool clubs the children performed music, dance and showcased some of the Irish language they had learned. P1 and P2 recited a poem and sang a song. Lots of interesting facts about St Patrick and associated traditions were presented by Primary 3 and 4, this was added to with local information relating to St Patrick by P5 and P6. Primary 7 recited St Patrick's Breastplate both in English and Irish and brought our celebrations to a close with 'Hail Glorious St Patrick'. We were delighted to be able to make a presentation to some of the representatives of Keady and District Lourdes Committee. This is indeed a very worthwhile cause, which were delighted to support.
